Wow! It's been a long time since I've posted. I took a break from running for a little bit, I was actually so busy for awhile that I couldn't have run even if I really wanted to….but I didn't because I was so exhausted and you know how it gets when you stop taking care of yourself, you're always tired and you never feel like doing anything.
Well, my lack of running hasn't been from pure laziness (just partial laziness) I've actually gone back to school to pursue a dream of mine, I am going to be a pilot! I have been spending most of my waking hours since August going to school online and taking flight lessons in Kent 3 days a week. Now that the semester is starting to wind down I have finally gotten my schedule under control and I've started making time to work out again. I joined the gym today and I'm ready to get back to running.
One of the best ways to get me excited about running is to sign up for a race so my husband and I are looking at a few different half marathons, we've been looking for an excuse to go to Portland so we are thinking of doing the Rock and Roll Portland because the timing will be perfect…..and since we did Rock and Roll Seattle this past year we know that if you do both Portland AND Seattle then you can get a cool Pacific Peaks medal…..so we will probably do Seattle as well.
I've also gotten my neighbors on board to do RNR Vancouver with us in October! It will be my first trip to Canada...unless I go on an Alaskan cruise this summer, which is probably going to happen….but it will be my first trip to Vancouver regardless. So, yeah, 3 half marathons next year, talk about a come back!
