I'm back in the land of the free! I'm so excited to be back in the U.S., I didn't realize how many things I missed. Unfortunately, a lot of it was food so I've gained 10 pounds since arriving in April. But I'm over all the new things (to me) and I'm jumping back on the wagon. I have the Rock & Roll Seattle half marathon coming up this month and I'm doing pretty pathetic in the training department. Note: do not plan to run a half marathon after taking 2 years off of distance running while trying to move across the planet.
I love our house in Washington, we're getting settled in nicely. Owning a home is pretty awesome, it's definitely something we military families appreciate. I'm just so happy to be setting down roots for the kids. They love their new school and I love my new neighborhood, so life is definitely good.
I got a new running partner.
She's not quite ready for running yet, we will definitely have to work on not stopping a sniffing since Beagles love to follow their nose, but she's doing great walking on a leash for now.
I'm really looking forward to blogging again, I know I've been away from my blog for awhile but I've still been following blogs and keeping up with some of you, lurking. I hope you'll continue reading, I've got some giveaways coming up so stick around!!!
I'm about to head out for a run now, it's a gorgeous day and I've got just over a week before I have to run 13.1, wish me luck!
