It's that time again...

...and I'm not referring to finally blogging again (although this is long overdue). It's that time that I start craving a race. I haven't raced since January and the Houston Half Marathon wasn't exactly my best race, I was injured, overweight and frankly, exhausted from getting ready for my international move.

I'm finally rested, I've dropped 20 pounds and I feel like I can no longer fight that urge to run with all these beautiful Spring days here in Deutschland, but running without a goal makes me lazy. Lucky for me, I have a blogging buddy I met through my other blog, years ago, who lives in Austria and she's taken up running as well. She did her first half marathon last month and is already looking forward to her next, The Wachau Half Marathon in September. It's too perfect not to do it with her, I'm looking for a race, I'd love to meet my bloggy friend face-to-face and I haven't been to Austria yet.

Time to start training!

First, 20 pounds?! Wahoo! That's fantastic! Germany is definitely agreeing with you.

Second, how freakin' cool is that to be able to hop across the border and run in another country.

How awesome of a combo is that - new friend, a goal race, and traveling to a new country - YEP! I'm super excited for you! Sounds fantastic.

We've missed you! Congrats on the weight loss and for finding a (somewhat) local bloggy friend.
