Yesterday was my 12 mile run, at 11.8 I stopped running because running while crying from pain is just stupid. My left hip was killing me, like on FIRE!! I got home and did my usual ice bath and my hip felt better but once my hip stopped hurting I realized just how bad my ankle was feeling.
I RICE'd it all evening and even popped a pain pill wishing, hoping and praying that it would feel better in the morning. Well, it's better but unfortunately it still hurts. I have a Dr. appointment at 11:45. I'm pretty sure he's going to advise against running the half on Sunday but I'll see what it actually wrong to make that decision. Regardless, there will be no running till Sunday to rest it up just in case.
Please send good vibes my way, I'm really looking forward to Tulsa this weekend and adding another medal to my wall.

I'll send you mine if you send me yours!
Definitely stay off it. Better to rest now, than to rest for a long time later!
Totally sending good vibes your way, of course! If you aren't feeling pain free, though, don't run it! I'm still off of running (though it's killing me). 14 miles on the elliptical just about made me lose my mind yesterday.
Hang in there and best wishes!!!
wow...sounds pretty painful. I hope it's something that can fixed thru chiro/PT/resistance training your core more and not killing your running...
us crazy runners. we can never give it a rest. :) I feel your pain.
Dang, Hope it gets better soon...
Hope you feel better soon. Don't overdo it.
That's a real bummer! Hoping it's nothing serious and you'll be running Sunday! Take care!
That's not a good sign. I hope all gets better.
