Kim said, "Oh and for the record...I wish I looked half as good as you sans make-up! =D"
Well, Kim (and everyone else), my confession is that I always have some make up on. I've actually been wanting to post about this because I know some runners out there that love their makeup (cough, cough, Jamie) and wouldn't leave home without it. Well, I can't leave home without it because mine is tattooed.
So, I technically didn't have makeup on but also technically did. My eyeliner and eye brows are tattooed and maybe someday when I get the nerve I will get my lipstick tattooed as well. The great thing about tattooed makeup is if you're an athlete you never have to worry about sweat causing your eyeliner to run. My eyeliner is actually very subtle, I chose a brown color and went with a very thin line because I like for my makeup to look natural but you can choose almost any color and go as heavy as you like.
As you can see, I really need them to start tattooing foundation, LOL.
Now, I'm not suggesting to you guys to go out and get your makeup tattooed. I just wanted to make sure people know that I have a little extra help when I'm really not wearing any makeup and if anyone was thinking about getting it done, I'm here if you have any questions. I personally am really glad I chose to do it almost 3 years ago (before I was even a runner) but I know plenty of people think it's insane and would never (in a million years) think of getting it done.
Whew! Glad I got that off my chest. :)
PS If you missed my post on Saturday because you were off doing wonderful weekend things you really should check it out, Nicholas ran 3.1 miles!
PPS Tomorrow I'm going in for surgery so I'm not sure how long it will be till I can run again, doctor says 2-3 weeks. I'm hoping for a speedy recovery because I have the most important 5K ever coming up on September 4!

I just walked past a salon the other day that was advertising that! Very cool.
Good luck and speedy healing with your surgery--thinking of you!
Wow, you're BRAVE!
Good luck with your surgery!
I have always wondered about that. Do you have to get it touched up over time?
Good luck with the surgery!! :)
That's interesting...thanks for sharing!
I normally do put on some powder and bronzer before I head out in the morning to run. I also will curl my eyelashes. Makes me feel more awake and a little "prettier" for my run!
Very interesting! Good luck with your surgery.
Wow! That's neat! I never would have guessed though..so it looks really natural!
Good luck with your surgery!
Phew no Q in sight . . . GREAT just freaking great. Now I feel like a liar too. I hate *&%#!@$#% make-up but [ahhhhhhhhhh man -] I have the tattooed crap on my eyes too.
It's freaking awesome though huh?!
Bye Bye feisty.
I have eyelash extensions and love them! I have to get them filled once a month but you wake up and are ready for the day! Not as permanent as tattooed but same concept! Good luck with surgery!
Thanks for stopping by my blog! Wow, I've heard about tattooed makeup but I always pictured the big baby blue eyelids and 80's looking makeup! but you make it look hot and i almost considered it except that it would have to be a secret from my husband! but it looks great on you!
ps. good luck on your surgery!!
You can throw me in that category of always running with make-up on. I love race day 'cause I tend to bring out crazy eye shadow combos that I wouldn't normally do. Especially for the Princess stuff in Disney World - Hello glitter!
You are so gutsy! I can't even handle other people putting eye shadow on me, I don't know that I could trust a needle so close! Brave, brave, brave!!!
I think that's cool that you have it tattooed on. No shame in that!
Yeah, the whole needle by the eyes is freaky, but it's cool as well. Good luck with surgery - speedy recovery!
I love that you "came clean" - haha! That was awesome! I have to say that I have thought about getting eye liner tattooed on me for quite some time! If anyone were to ask me what is my one "must have" piece of make-up, I would totally say eye liner! My only concern was with it being..um..displaced over time due to saggy eyes. Did they say anything about that?
That's interesting. I think Joe's grandma did that with her brows before.
Good luck with the surgery!!
That's so interesting about your make up - I've been considering the eyeliner tattoo for a while. Kind of like you mentioned though, the thought of a needle that close to my eyeball freaks me out!
Best of luck with the surgery!
Hi there! I found you on Chloe and Christy's Confessions of Conquering 26.2 blog! I just started running and I really like reading how you got into running. Can't wait to read more! And by the way...that is awesome you got your eyeliner tatooed on...amazing!! :)

Thanks for checking out my blog! I think your tatooed makeup is amazing! So convenient!
lol - can you imagine tattooing foundation? That'd be... interesting.
Tattooed or not. You're gorgeous just the same girlfriend!
Wow -- that's awesome! You look great. That's funny that you thought of me. because, I totally was just thinking about this on yesterday's run. How i actually wear a ton less make and less often now, that I took up running. will be linking you and stephanie in on my post!!! really, really wierd that you both just posted about this!!!
Aack. I'm not brave enough to get lasik eye surgery much less tatooed eye makeup.
But if there was a way to have permanent mascara I might think about it.
