It'll be here before you know it...

I'm not talking about a race, or anything to do with running. I'm talking about HALLOWEEN!!!!

At our house we are a little crazy for Halloween, it's our favorite holiday. For one, it's in the Fall which is by far my favorite season and two, you get to scare kids for fun. We love decorating and going all out, we actually built a lot of our decorations because we couldn't find exactly what we wanted at the store. Unfortunately, when we moved to Oklahoma they broke a lot of our stuff. I'm not sure what we're going to do this year but I guarantee it will be awesome!

This past weekend the hubby and I were at the mall waiting for our movie to start (Scott Pilgrim Vs The World was a great movie if you like video games) and we decided to look around the book store, well, we found this awesome book A Zombie Ate My Cupcake.

We decided that we would get it and go home and start practicing for Halloween. Well, here are pics of our first batch of gruesome cupcakes. They are red velvet with buttercream icing and a cherry reduction sauce. Yum!

These are the cupcakes without icing, they were a little dry. (note to self: more butter)

Right now they just kind of look like intestines.

It's amazing what a little "blood" can do.

Brains, anyone?

What ever happened to pumpkin cupcakes? Or is that just in Canada?

Kovas, I have to say after eating 2 of these cupcakes my IQ went up 10 points. I now have an IQ of 10!

Q, I made red velvet bc that's what the book said and I've never had red velvet before, to be honest, pumpkin cupcakes with cream cheese buttercream sounds way better. Maybe next I'll make a special Canadian cupcake just for you. Of course, I'll have to eat it for you too but I don't mind taking one for the team.

EMZ, I want your brains too...well, you know and your abs also. :)
